ARCA Space has finished the development of its EcoRocket, a sea-launched small orbital vehicle. The first launch is scheduled for August 16 – 30, 2021.
Starting December 1st, 2021, ARCA Space will accept payments for its commercial launch services in Bitcoin (BTC ) and Aether (ATH).
EcoRocket is a three-stage orbital vehicle, with its first two stages fully reusable. The first two stages are using an environmentally friendly water-based propellant that will put the third stage at an altitude of 50km and a speed of 5,400km/h. The third stage, fuelled by RP-1 and High Test Peroxide, will then propel a payload of up to 10 kilograms into orbit.
ARCA Space aims to become the first European company that will offer dedicated commercial launch services for small satellites starting with December 1st, 2021.
Another innovation from ARCA Space is that EcoRocket will launch the fist crypto-coin in space, namely Aether. Aether is a crypto-coin on Binance Smart Chain, with its main purpose of building a bridge between science and cryptocurrency. Aether’s plan is to integrate with more blockchain technologies in the future and when needed release mainnet and run nodes on its own satellite.
