A Russian tourist returning from Egypt almost ended up in prison in the Arab country. The reason is that the Russian woman did not obey the laws in the country. There was a drone in her luggage, the import and use of which was banned in Egypt without special permission.
The Tyumen resident said her travel agent forgot to warn her that it was impossible to import and use quadcopters in Egypt without permission from the republic’s defense ministry. However, according to the Russian, upon arrival at the airport, no one paid attention to this thing in her luggage.
The tourist noted that she managed to launch the drone only once in the hotel room – she immediately received an SMS stating that the use of technology in the country is prohibited. When she was detained at the airport on her return, it was this fact, according to the girl, that “saved” her from prison.
