Serbia is in the process of registering the Sputnik Light vaccine and will soon become the first country in Europe to use it. This is clear from a statement by Nenad Popovic, Minister of Innovation and Technology in the Serbian government.

“Serbia has begun the procedure for registering the Sputnik Light vaccine in the Republic of Serbia, making Serbia the first country in Europe to use this highly effective booster vaccine,” the press service said in a statement.

Popovic thanked Russia and Putin for the possibility of producing the Sputnik V vaccine in Serbia.

On June 4th this year, Putin and Vucic began production of Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine in Serbia at the Torlak Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Serums in Belgrade. Serbia is currently packing the Russian vaccine and will begin full-scale production by the end of Serbia’s year.
