The queen considered the astronaut a real gentleman.

Yuri Gagarin’s visit to Buckingham Palace was remembered by the Queen and all members of her family for a long time.

The cosmonaut, without hesitation, offered Her Majesty to make tea for two from one bag, with which she readily agreed.

At the end of the tea party, Gagarin took a slice of lemon from the bottom of his glass and ate it.

The Queen immediately followed suit. In the future, she always finished eating lemon, which had a beneficial effect on her health.

Leaving, Yuri put his chair upside down on the table, which also did not embarrass the royal person. In an interview with the BBC, Elizabeth II noted that she was delighted with communicating with the astronaut.
