Another Russian top manager was found dead on the balcony of his apartment in Moscow. 52-year-old Pavel Pchelnikov was the head of “Public Relations” of the railway company of Russia, which is one of the largest in the world.
Pchelnikov is at least the 10th top manager to lose his life since the start of the war in Ukraine.
On September 1, Gazprom chairman Ravil Madanov threw himself from the sixth floor of a hospital in Moscow. He was rumored to have been severely beaten and thrown from a window on the very day Vladimir Putin was at the hospital to pay his respects to Mikhail Gorbachev.
In July, the head of a Gazprom-related transport company Yuri Voronov was found dead in the pool of his villa.
Alexander Tyulyakov, who was responsible for security at Gazprom, was found dead by his lover just a day after the invasion of Ukraine.
Three weeks earlier, Gazprom Invest’s transport chief, Leonid Shulman, was found in his bathroom in St. Petersburg in a pool of blood and with multiple stab wounds on his body.
Lukoil-linked billionaire Alexander Subotin was poisoned, most likely with snake venom, after receiving advice from a shaman.
In April, Gazprombank-linked Vladislav Avaev committed suicide, having previously killed his wife Elena and their 13-year-old daughter.
A few days later, the billionaire Sergey Procenya also hanged himself in his villa in Spain, having previously killed his wife Natalya and daughter Maria.
The death of Ivan Pechorin, one of the heads of the “Company for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic”, close to Putin, is also suspicious. He fell off a boat in Vladivostok during an international conference.
Telecommunications were also affected. Ukrainian-born billionaire Yevgeny Palant was discovered naked next to his wife Olga by their daughter.
